Open Education Coalition

Open Education Coalition is an agreement between NGOs and institutions working in the field of education, science and culture. The aim is to build and promote open educational resources understood as materials that are made available openly and guaranteeing their customers the freedom to use and replay, freedom to explore work and the use of information contained in it, freedom to redistribute and distribution of derivative works. The coalition consists of:

Creative Commons Polska

Creative Commons Poland is a branch of a international organization, that has set itself the task of obtaining a compromise between full copyright protection and full access to the work of others. Creative Commons licenses use copyrights law, to enable the transfer of some rights of the author to others. This doesn’t mean the renunciation of copyrights. The works covered by CC licenses do not go into the public domain – copyrights are retained , but allow access to the work to a wide range of users. CC Licenses were designed for kinds of materials: websites, music, photos, films, literature or educational materials and scientific articles -  mainly those distributed via internet.

Polish Scouting and Guiding Association (ZHP)

Polish Scouting Association is a youth organization and consists of over 1400 members, it acts nationwide. It’s mission is to educate young people that is support him in comprehensive development and shaping character by giving challenges. ZHP is a educational, patriotic, voluntary and self-governing association open to everyone regardless of origin, race or faith. Polish Scouting Association is a non-profit organization, from 16th February 2004 registered as a Public Benefit Organization.

From 13^th to 14^th June New Media Foundation and ZHP organized trainings for animators from the journalism workshops.  20 scout masters form all over Poland came and got familiar with the Foundations workshops and the system of creating qmam. This made it possible to identify each other's needs and plan further action. During the XXXVIII National Grunwald Gathering Foundations team conducted an outdoor workshop for two groups, which with joint forces created Grunwaldziak" qmam.  Another ZHP event in which the Foundation took part was the 3^RD National Scout Masters Gathering. During two days of workshops not only the Gatherings newspaper was created, but also the possibility of creating editorial offices by scout masters was discussed. After the gathering, "Mazowiecki Skaut" started its editorial work and preparations are made to issue professionally a ZHP and The Foundations program newspaper.

Association of Young Journalists POLIS was established in 1995 on the basis of editorial office of magazine “Polis” and related with it Thursdays journalism workshops. The main  purpose of the organization is to educate young people on efficient and responsible use of media, as also encourage them to take part in public life. These tasks the Association conducts through journalism workshops for school children and students, and also cooperating with other NGOs  (including:  Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights, Foundation of Educators and Youth "Ferry" , New Media Foundation).
